Born in Massachusetts,  influenced by the shifting, ever-changing colors of the seasons.

The hills of Western Massachusetts, a playground.  On those family acres, was absorbed the rich colors of earth, flora, fauna, creatures on foot and in flight.  Abundant and varied hues of earth, stones and sky.

A child walking through tall grass before the mowing, climbing apple trees, tenderly walking on stones, in cold bubbling streams, skipping rocks on glass, sky-reflecting water.  Deep tones of brown, green, blue, orange, red, violet

- sun and sky kissed horizons, the earliest palette.

In my college years and later, I lived and worked on Martha’s Vineyard in between design and travel.  This magical

“land amid the waters”, landscapes of sand, pebbles and clay in various hues.  Idyllic pastures of rolling hills, stone fences separating farms, pure beauty. It’s coastline carrying the many moods and rhythms of the sea with brilliant and stunning colors of island sunsets often appear, reminiscent of this paradise.

Self-taught, perpetual sponge and world traveler, schooled by artists.  Life = art.

I have found joy, sadness, solace and celebration in art and all its forms.  Unencumbered by formal art education, fueled by experimentation in a variety of styles and mediums, art is a visceral, emotive, jubilant, playful fun expression of soul.
